Cohort Overview
The Incubator Collective is a church planting program designed to train church planters and replanters serving in New York City’s five boroughs, as well as New York City-facing urban centers. The program combines elements of City to City’s proven church planting curriculum with new insights from multicultural leaders who understand the nuances of ministry in New York’s boroughs.
Meet Your Instructor
Kerlin Calderon,
Assistant Director, Church Planting Training
Kerlin Calderon is the lead pastor of Grace Tabernacle Ministries in New York City. He was born in the Dominican Republic, and at the age of seven, his parents moved to New York. He grew up in the Inwood Heights section of upper Manhattan where he served his local church as youth and associate pastor. Kerlin loves to spend time with his family and enjoys watching the Yankees. He studied at Lehman College and Nyack’s Alliance Theological Seminary and holds degrees in administration and religion. He is married to his lovely wife Margie, and they have two beautiful daughters Olivia & Aliah Calderon.
Meet Your Teaching Assistant
Jim Salladin
Jim Salladin has served as rector of Emmanuel Anglican Church since the fall of 2016. Originally from California, he worked at St. John's Vancouver Anglican Church and St James Muswell Hill in London. Jim completed his PhD through the University of St. Andrews with the focus of his research on grace and divine participation in Jonathan Edwards’s thought. He and his wife Amber have two sons, Caleb and Peter.

Because Incubator Collective is structured as a learning cohort, interaction with the content via class discussion is essential to maximizing your experience. Consequently, if you accumulate more than one absence, you may not be allowed to continue in the program. Please review the Class Schedule below, and notify Teaching Assistant, Jim Salladin ([email protected]), and Program Administrator, Emily Gregg ([email protected]), if you anticipate being unable to attend any of these sessions.

You will get out of this cohort as much as you put into it. Prepare by reading any recommended pre-class materials, participating in class discussions, and completing post-class homework assignments. It's worth the investment!

The eBook includes all course content including pre-reading assignments, presentation decks, and tools for implementation of what you're learning. Please review this before class and come prepared to interact with the content and your classmates.
Program Schedule
We recommend integrating these dates into your personal calendar to stay on top of upcoming classes. Those who accumulate more than one unexcused absence may be asked to re-enroll when they are able to commit to this attendance standard.
