Communicating Scripture – Open House
An event for Ministry leaders serving in the metro NYC region
Anyone who communicates Scripture in any setting (e.g., preaching, teaching, Bible studies, small groups, classrooms, etc.)
Purpose:
To strengthen how leaders communicate Scripture clearly, faithfully, and effectively
What the course focuses on:
Proclaiming Christ in ways that are rooted in Scripture, attentive to cultural context, and compelling to listeners
Format:
• Hour 1: Sit in on a live Communicating Scripture class
• Hour 2: Program overview and extended Q&A with the Director
Featured class topic:
Persuasion and argument as they relate to communicating Scripture to today’s culture
Goal of the Open House: Allow prospective students to experience the class, ask questions, and discern next steps
